| | 2008 was a great one, not great in the sense that everything that happened was happy clappy.
Good times - sure, bad times - of course, but the solution (I'd like to think) was healthily managed.
Though it might not be the perfect one, definitely great learning from it.
4 funerals and 3 weddings as an individual, pretty happy job with 2 salvaged screwups, 1 bali trip and a dive cert - ok lah!
A chinese saying goes: "Tragic will breed when happiness is at its peak".
Meaning, there's always a turning point.
Was a little too happy with 2008 before the year ended, thought too quick.
Death loomed, but family saw it as a consolation.
Always have this rather sick behaviour that I'd imagine some loved one passing and cry myself silly.
The fear of losing someone so you try to prepare yourself that when it really happen you'll hurt less.
I realised there's no such thing as preparing mentally for it.
2009 - Embrace it, be fit, save more, live it.
